Instructional and Performance Assessment Office

The Instructional and Performance Assessment Office (IPA) handles/conducts psychological testing, evaluation and research. It aims to provide accurate data on student and teacher performance that will help in refining instructional practices, measure student progress, and improve school programs and services.

  • Assesses, and monitors the students’ school ability and performance in selected subject areas through the use of psychological and diagnostic tests. These assessment activities have bearing on decisions regarding admissions, placement, program planning and guidance purposes. Research is undertaken for the validation and improvement of tests and other instruments.

  • Provides assessment on the cognitive and socio-emotional functioning of students referred by their level counselors

  • Administers, scores, and interprets psychological tests taken by employee applicants. A psychological report of each applicant is provided to assist in the decision-making process.

  • Conducts periodic performance evaluation of administrators, and high school faculty and provides feedback on their strengths and weaknesses. 

  • Collaborates with the administrators and faculty on research projects or studies endorsed by the President and the SSIS Director.
